A Time for Change

September in Minnesota signals a lot of change for so many families. The weather starts to cool, the days get shorter, the cabin gets closed

As a chiropractor, I overuse my hands, wrists, and thumbs on a daily basis. About a year ago, I started to develop acute pain in these areas from repetitive use. I tried a number of different treatments, but nothing seemed to help long term.

Then, I tried our Class IV laser therapy. This type of laser therapy is more powerful than other types of laser therapy, and it has been shown to be effective in reducing pain and inflammation in the body (muscles, tendons, nerves, fascia, discs and joints).

I decided to do a Class IV laser therapy treatment plan for my hands and wrists, and I was amazed at the results. After just two treatments, I started to notice a significant decrease in my pain. After six treatments, my pain was gone completely.

In addition to reducing pain, Class IV laser therapy can also help to improve range of motion and reduce inflammation at the source rather than masking with typical medications.

How Does Class IV Laser Therapy Work?

Class IV laser therapy works by emitting light that penetrates deep into the tissues of the body. This light energy stimulates the cells to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is a molecule that provides energy for cellular function.  The increased production of ATP helps to speed up the healing process and reduce pain. Class IV laser therapy can also help to reduce inflammation by reducing the production of inflammatory chemicals.

Benefits of Class IV Laser Therapy

The benefits of Class IV laser therapy include:

  1. Reduced pain: Class IV laser therapy can help to reduce pain by reducing inflammation and stimulating the production of ATP.
  2. Improved range of motion: Class IV laser therapy can help to improve range of motion by reducing pain and inflammation.
  3. Reduced inflammation: Class IV laser therapy can help to reduce inflammation by reducing the production of inflammatory chemicals.
  4. Increased healing: Class IV laser therapy can help to increase healing by stimulating the production of ATP and reducing inflammation.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

The number of treatments needed for Class IV laser therapy depends on the severity of the pain and inflammation. In most cases, six to twelve treatments are needed to see significant results.  We sell packages to bring the per visit cost down.  You can also add on additional areas for a reduced cost.

It has been so rewarding to see patients respond so well to the laser we have in the clinic.  I have seen patients resolve pain from broken ribs, reduce appearance of surgical scars, relieve carpal tunnel symptoms, resolve sciatic pain, and relieve knee pain after injury just to name a few.  From chronic pain to acute sports injuries, our laser along with chiropractic care, makes a major impact on pain and function!

Our Class IV Laser is FDA approved, affordable, and treatment is painless and generally well tolerated.  You can talk to your doctor at our clinic for more information about using our laser for your condition.
